I'm not sure we can avoid martial law at this point. LA was peaceful & they deployed the NG. Remain peaceful, but still rise up and make good trouble. We can NOT do nothing for a year and a half. There may not be midterms if we remain static.

The people may be ready, but the Democratic Party leadership isn't. They're rich as fuck and are benefiting from this administration's actions as much as the other oligarchs. But expect Jeffries and Schumer to send a strongly worded letter, though.

We have to look beyond Jeffries and certainly Schumer (he needs to step down already). This could be - should be - Newsom’s moment. Otherwise, JB Pritzker, Chris Murphy, Jeff Merkley … anyone. Someone passionate, shouty, angry and ability to lead people.
