My first father's day since separation is under 2 weeks away. 5 of my 7 grandkids are my step kids kids. I'm terrified i will be left out this year.

Understand totally. Left the family home two days before Christmas. Loneliest time of the year for me. Thankfully I have a friend who calls me family and I sit at her table…sometimes with one of my kids but often not. Sending strength. 😊🙏♥️

Been there. It does get better. Be about being there for your kids and the rest will fall into place. The rest of the holidays will be hard but speaking from experience...Over a decade later the kids spend time with the one who was always there for them. Be there for them and they will do the same.

My step kids are great, they wouldnt do it out of cruelty. So much has changed over the last 9 months that I just sometimes feel a bit vulnerable. I will definitely see my daughters and at least 2 grandkids, life is good.

My dad’s memory is fading so fast now, Father’s Day is completely missed on him. We thought he had old age dementia, but apparently now they think he had a stroke years ago & nobody knew. His short term memory is gone. 🤷♀️ Find someone to love & don’t be alone, eh?

that's the goal anyway 😘 I was never into Mother's Day , my MIL always took priority cause it was her birthday as well .Now I tend to acknowledge what great Mum's my DIL's are instead .
