At its peak, Tammany Hall also played a major role in state and national politics, particularly during the Gilded Age. Tammany Hall’s headquarters was at 141 East 14th St between 1868–1927. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tammany...
Your visual clue for the first stop on the #Zohran #Mamdani scavenger hunt:
This is the right answer, but I’m wondering if they expect people to go to the current tammany hall which admittedly is only a few blocks away
I’ll just say right now, the Con Ed spot is currently wrapped in scaffolding and chain-link fences at the base. Not sure if it’s exactly an ideal spot to start the hunt or notttt
My pedantry is more than happy to acquiesce to mild historical inaccuracy in just this one case
Trust me, I getcha.
Oh my god I lived in NYC nearly 20 years and went to that Petco so many times (they always have kitties to adopt there!) and had no idea that was Tammany Hall 😆
There is now lines being formed across the street in Union Square

OK, turns out #Zohran could have been A LOT more precise in his first 15-second video clue. Mayor Hugh J. Grant spent time at Tammany Hall, but NOT this later Tammany Hall building that is now a Petco store. Very good crowd though across the street in the farmers market section of Union Square Park.
What's the second clue
Haven’t seen it posted. I’m also not in the city today, so only participating virtually.
