I love hope and all but you can’t post political news on Facebook in Canada, whereas most people over 40 in the States get all of their “news” (AI slop and fascist screeds) from Facebook posts.

We cannot get actual news from Facebook or Instagram but Uncle Raymond in St Therese can still see misinformation and conspiracy theory fodder on those popular social media. Our MSM is under attack and underfunded but it's not gagged though.

It's not limited to political news, it's literally anything from any site Meta considers "news". This means even The Beaverton got blocked, at least for a little while.
