There are 78 matches scheduled for the US and 13 each for Canada and Mexico. Canada and Mexico are NOT prepared to triple their number of games, plus provide training camps for 45 additional teams. They are NOT going to stage a Canada/Mexico only world cup in one year.
Mexico has hosted on thrir own before
the last time they hosted was when Colombia withdrew. that tournament had half as many games, and they had 3 years notice to organize the tournament. (as for these days - where does the Mexican federation host most of their international matches? hint: Not Mexico.)
