Cyberworld's a bit of good fun, y'know. The short runtimes & YT platform set the bar low and make it feel destined to be overlooked, but the creators are putting in visible effort; there's a real story continuing from ep to ep, the characters are well-delinated, and it all elicits genuine chuckles.
i've definitely got some hang-ups about Back In My Day, 22-Minute Episodes, etc etc. but everything i've heard about it seems like it's punching above its weight with some fun material so i should really get over myself and check it out sometime
The last one with Sky-Byte and Mirage actually made me laugh out loud. It's definitely more shallow than other shows, but it's way better than expected
I still rather see Wild King. I love the format they have. New bots, instead of using the same old bots all the time. The only bots they have on the show is Optimus Prime and Megatron.
I'm actually pretty impressed by the animation and modeling. They're the toys but they don't LOOK like toys. It's fluid and decently-staged. I was expecting something super-sterile and plastic given the premise but this is absolutely sailing over expectations.
I like the ongoing mystery of Cyberworld's nature. Is it a Prime artifact gone haywire? Is it a Quintesson virtual reality like the one in Cyberverse? Is the whole thing, planet and all, a Vok experiment?
Yeah, this has been my take thus far as well, tho I do find myself chafing a bit against how limited its animation feels more and more as it goes on.
Also Cow Knight Megatron.
I like the trapped in a game/ Hunger Games plot. I have been wanting them to move past the usual Autobot/Decpicon war set up for awhile, so going from a post war generation story to this is a great start.
Transformers should be more like Gundam with it's AU's starting as a different genre every time before easing into it's usual setting. Like a Transformers martial arts, mafia, or Utena-like show would be awesome.
It's fun, not super complicated, and ... decent. And Sky-Byte.
