I used one in the past for Smash Ultimate and they work very well. It can be kind of annoying depending on how your setup is layed out since the block is pretty big but the connection is very stable.

Don't play a lot of online but I do want to download games faster Is it good for that too

Never used the Switch adapter for that but I would say yes based on other consoles. Plugging my PS5 in to Ethernet cuts download times by over 50%
