WKRP was such an amazing show. The characters were great. It also highlighted Jennifer as the secretary who would have typically been seen as a dumb blonde, as the smartest character on the show.

It's still hilarious, I watched it recently.
I had the very great pleasure of spending a couple of hours listening to the U.S. election in 2000 with Mr. Hesseman (who played Dr. Johnny Fever). He was pleasant, well informed, and funny. Both of us thought Gore had taken it when Dan Rather called Florida. We had no idea what was coming.
It was just a few years ago when Howard Hessman passed. Some great talent (and music) on that show.
She ran the station in many ways.
That was actually one of the main gags. I went into radio not long after and discovered it’s true; if you really want to know what’s going on, talk to the person in her position.
