Iraq is acknowledged as an enormous blunder by both sides of the aisle but it might be the best case scenario. We left Afghanistan in the hands of the Taliban. Vietnam fell to the communists as soon as we pulled out. Korea ended *exactly* where it started.
Just zooming in on Iran, we've fucked it up at every turn! How did the current regime come to power??? US fucking around! Eisenhower, an obviously more capable tactician than Trump, screwed the pooch for generation!
The regime in Iran obviously isn't great! They're oppressive to their LGBTQ+ population, they oppress women, they're a petrostate whose economy rests on environmental destruction, they're a theocratic state. Republicans are jealous more than anything.
