Newsom's been blocking pro-trans legislation in California for a while now. Also, saying "Yeah, you're completely right" to conservatives doesn't deprive them of a talking point, it legitimizes and strengthens that talking point.

No, because then it ceases to be a talking point for them. They'll move on to attacking other groups until they run out. They want to convince the public that Dems are ONLY for these groups, and use our outrage as proof. It's a sick game that, unfortunately, they are good at.

That's not how that works. Democrats have tried that before (especially on immigration), and all Republicans ever did was double-down on their rhetoric while continuing to claim Democrats were the opposite on the matter. It's a strategy that's been proven to fail.

Why is everyone jumping ahead to 2028? You can't support what Newsom is doing now to stop Republicans from rigging the mid-terms and then vote for someone else to be president? This is about 2026 and making sure we still get to vote at all in 2028.
