Do you think that states are going to choose their voters on behalf of a GOP that seems to have no problem blackmailing our most powerful institutions? Do you think the federal government will continue to make it as difficult to vote as possible? The states don’t have full control.

We are living through extraordinary times. I remember a time like a year ago when all kinds of things (like the DOJ) were independent. They aren’t anymore.

Blue states generally have D Secs of State.

Unfortunately, very few democrats seem capable of properly resisting the onslaught. Like what’s up with Gavin Newsom? My impression is that they have to kiss the ring to get stuff like federal disaster relief these days (once fema is gone, that is a moot point, but you get the idea).

Gavin does not control elections in CA and he’s effectively powerless in his own state next year.

Nonsense. The House control will be determined by a few races in mostly blue states. We win on the issues and the economy.

Not sure what I can do up here in Canada (I am a dual citizen). Right now I am mostly focused on not giving my money to US companies and voting for who I think can best defend Canadian sovereignty. Open to suggestions :)

It seems money is the most threatening item for this regime. They are afraid of boycott and worry about the stock markets. Consumers are powerful when united. Elon Musk is retreating.

Me? Giving money. Really not much more you can do right now. A very small amount of money goes a long way in local and even some state races. @runforsomething.net is a great group if you are interested in helping young, progressive candidates win local races.

Actually it was meant for the other person. But happy to hear that you are helping out. I will be knocking on doors next weekend bc of the PA municipal and judicial primary in May.

The state Secretaries of State control the elections in their states. The states make their own rules.
