Everyone on this website, either themselves or their parents/grandparents, lived in this country when it was a literal apartheid state. We are not that now (for now) and people need to buck up a bit to keep it that way

Most people who are descendants of immigrants have someone in their line who escaped or survived an actual dictatorship or failed state that wasn’t the rinky dinky shit we’re looking at. Don’t embarrass them

I love this comment so much. One of those descendants myself. I had a relative who didn't survive --sent to Stalin's gulag. I am so tired of today's shrill doomers.
