I lived in IL until 18. I’ve seen friends harassed, assaulted, tased, etc, by a bunch of douche bags who think having a badge means they can do whatever they feel. Go hang out on the south side of Chicago or Cicero and see how “safe” cops make people feel in those areas.
Or Naperville where you get harassed and bullied by cops if you don’t look like “you belong there”. I had a friend tased repeatedly until he had a seizure over a fucking noise complaint. He was a teenager. Sick and tired of this “heroes” garbage for people who abuse the law for their own enjoyment
