Funny how rents went up hundreds of dollars during the first Trump administration, but people chose to instead throw a fit about eggs being $5 and gas going up by $1.25/gal. I'm pretty sure a $300-500 spike in rent is worse for your bank account. People should have been rioting over that, but no.

Well eggs is the thing the right made a big deal about under biden admin. So that is the symbol so to speak. And yes rent is an issue and it's just pure greed. We don't have a housing shortage. Housing per capita is about the same as it was 30 years ago. People just own multiple homes.

I think the plan is to create an economic crisis so that millions of people lose their homes. Then investors can snap them up for cheap and rent them out. I've seen a few articles and videos about it, it's already happening in big cities, fewer and fewer homes are owned by the occupant.
