My friend does some undergrad admissions interviews there. They are explicitly NOT given grades & asked to rate students on their ability to be well rounded community members. Kids who were coached on what to say or show entitlement usually fail. Those kids usually had perfect scores & grades too.

Because, theoretically, DEI guidance, in part, does that. There's a natural admissions bias based on feeder schools, economic background, weight of family name. DEI guidelines help offset that. If they TRULY ignore everything but the GPA, they're not gonna magically get All White. They'll still sue.
