W/respect to his work & ideas, the admin also supported Israel & probably accepted their campaign donations. They did little to nothing abt Apartheid in S.Africa or in Palestine. US hypocrisy runs deep & is historic. There is a difference, #aipac didn't support this level of civilian attacks
You don't have to agree with everything a politician does. They are never going to align 100% with your own beliefs. You can even hate some of their beliefs. I choose to praise them when they do or say something praiseworthy though. And I think that it's important to do that now more than ever.
They shouldn't need praise, they work for YOU. This is what baffles me about Americans. You all want praise, you idolize politicians! Hold them up as deities at times, it's insane to me. They work for YOU. You shouldn't be saying "Thank you" to them, they should be saying "THANK YOU for the job"
I idolize no one. I think misunderstood my use of the word 'praise'. If they do something I think is valuable or vital to the resistance. Which I think they are here. I will make it clear that I approve of it and want more of it. That's all.

The fight to save some semblance of democracy is a priority. The hope is that this process to lead to a wider section of the population becoming more politically aware and ultimately demanding change beyond stopping fascism. But stopping fascism must come first.

May I ask one thing. You voted for Dems in 2020, expecting accountability for the prior 4 years? 1/6 & covid happened. They focused on that, for a good 2 years. Had Trump dead to rights, Mueller R etc. If they didn't DO anything about him then, why would you think it'll be different "next time"?
I think that the worse it gets the more people are going to 'wake up'. I don't think that many will want to go back to the 'status quo' once this nightmare is over. I hope not anyway. But in the meantime we will fight together and we will win.

We all lost trust. That's why their polling is at an all time low. They can certainly be blamed in many ways for us being here. But we have to work with what we have and pressure them to do the right thing...and highlight/support when they do the right thing.
