Kids are curious-you tell them "no, no, HOT!" & they'll touch it anyway. As someone who has frequently handled birds for years, I can assure you that a nip from a duck isn't nearly as painful as "hot." I have guinea who bite me and then look crestfallen from my lack of response.
Now, a GOOSE- I wldnt want to be bit by, nor a swan.
They hiss, but haven't been bitten, yet. If one did bite me while I jog I'd probably kick it. I'm confident that I would win the fight with the goose or swan.
Heh, I've seen a mockingbird dive bomb a grown man for daring to have his vehicle too close to her nest. She dove, he ducked, banged his mouth on the vehicle and lost a tooth. He parked further away after that.🤣
That'd be fun to watch. "The Birds" may come true, yet.

INDEED! My nephew used to get chased up the hill from the bus stop every day by their neighbor's "pet" goose. He learned to run fast at a young age.
