Okay, and how many are in unauthorized facilities?
And how many have been renditioned to foreign prisons? How many deported to their country of origin? We need these numbers.
Per this notice, ICE gets to decide who gets released. Not a court—ICE.
ICE reports population figures for a total of 186 detention facilities. That's an increase from 107 facilities with ICE detainees back in late January 2025. And it's likely an undercount of the number of facilities actually utilized by ICE.
A quick count of the number of facilities in select states. TX: 26 detention centers FL: 14 LA, NY: 9 each AZ, CA, GA, OH: 6 each MI, PA: 5 each
A few facilities that are appearing on the ICE facility list for the first time (at least over the last couple years): Brooks County Detention Center, Falfurrias, TX Ero El Paso Camp East Montana, El Paso, TX Turner Guilford Knight (TGK) Jail, Miami, FL
