It needs to be illegal for politicians of any party to receive donations from foreign powers or the agents thereof or from companies that lobby for them or have a financial interest that they might promote.

Maybe it needs to be illegal for politicians to receive any money or consideration from any party. Just their government pay cheque, a flat they can use rent-free while away from their constituencies (and anything bought on expenses stays when they leave) and free public transport.

Also the supreme Court declared open season because they didn't want to eject their majority for taking bribes so you literally need to have an offer of money for a specific service explicitly written contract to qualify. Anything else is a gratuity.

Any companies that lobby for laws etc should be disbarred from any government contracts, this also includes companies they have direct financial links with.

I had to do bribery training for a job I had, and every single penny politicians accept in gifts from individuals, companies, and lobby groups would be considered bribery according to that training.
