I think he’s unique in that he’s a filthy rich governor who is genuine and not condescending. He’s got almost FDR-level ability to calm people while galvanizing resistance.

Plus that Oliver Platt guy could totally play him in the movie.

Seems like most people outside the US don't understand that we've never really had the concept of a shadow cabinet. We've never needed a leader of the opposition outside of an election year. Rs haven't had one either prior to Trump in the last 4 years.

It's tricky, eh?... Yeah... In Canadian & British Parliament, everything works totally different... hard to compare Official opposition leaders and lalalala is normal, and there's more than 2 parties

Also, I think they underestimate what what a "shadow cabinet" would entails? Given the size of the US I'd be like saying "just make a shadow cabinet for the EU Parliament with one spokesperson"

He has the potential to have the moral grounding that Newsom seems to lack. Newsom has bite but this guy puts it in stark terms and could actually bring a fight in a way that I don’t think Newsom can.

I don't think he needs to be the leader of the Dem party. The rich, along with the religious, are the main problem in America. That being said, I do applaud how he is able to fight back better than Gruesom and not mocking Trump like a little fucking kid.
