and we get hit by this AND the way bathrooms are disappearing from spaces with high densities of homelessnes in lieu of adding a goddamn sharps container in many cases. imagine being a trans disabled person living in a queer neighbourhood any urban space its bullshit.

Yup. People donβt really think about the fact that if you have to walk 15-20 minutes across campus just to find a gender neutral bathroom, then by the time you walk there and back the better part of an hour has evaporated from your day. I was always late to class in public health school

more often than not i have cloudy urine and painful urination because the family restroom at my job is unavailable and i opt to hold it. i live in florida, temps get above 115F where i live and sometimes i opt to just not drink water all day so i won't have to pee. it makes my pots symptoms worse
i also feel awful for my friend at my job because i warned her before she started spironolactone that it would make her pee a lot more than she was used to, and now that she boymodes at work she's at the stage of holding it in beyond a comfortable capacity because she refuses to use the men's room

As a person who is not trans Iβm now informed this is a issue that cannot be ignored. If I was trans I would be inclined to use whatever bathroom available. Many women in desperation have used the menβs bathroom.
Overturning these heinous laws will take time; and will require a lot of help. During that, help out trans folks by calling out toilet policing. You see it, get involved. Try to make it safe enough for people to use the toilet.
There is a lot of evolution going on. Society is having a no tolerance level for deception. Being trans and having access to bathrooms harms no one. Stealing, drugs, pedophilia and selfishness is harming everyone.
I refuse to let trans people be the βcost of this evolutionβ. Being trans is authentic. Itβs certainly not deception; I think you know and agree with that. This is part of a bigger picture to push trans people out of public life entirely. Itβs never about βsafetyβ. Itβs control and cruelty.
Because of the nastiness there is accelerating evolution taking place. Eyes are wide open to the truth. Trans people are finally having their moment. Iβm joyful you can stand with pride. π
