He was the leader for that time. And he performed well. History will be good to him. It was expensive. We will pay for that pandemic, in many ways, for years to come. And now, I believe Carney is the leader for this time. This election was absolutely about leadership, and demonstrated capacity.

Justin Trudeau won the fight against Pierre Poilievre after all because he was always the better man. He chose the right time to resign giving Mark Carney the opportunity to move Canada forward in a new direction...

....not to say that he did not serve us well during his tenure. He did...in so many ways...and I will always be grateful.

He was a good Prime Minister, I don't care what anyone else says. He was up against billionaires, India, China, the Christian nationalists and the hateful US far right. They tried to destroy him, and he still came thru. With compassion and leadership!

My partner was in an industry that got destroyed during covid. Trudeau and the Liberal gov’s support in the form of CERB saved us from financial ruin, allowed us to pay our mortgage and come out the other side with our home. We are thankful forever.

I'm pleased to say that I was lucky enough to meet Mr. Trudeau at a Liberal event before he was first elected and had the opportunity to tell him that I was voting for him as the next leader because I felt that he was the only hope the Libs had to get in. Did the same with Mr. Carney. :)

Me too! And it's because of him, his humility in a big part that Mark Carney won this election. It's because Justin didn't appear in every screen during the campaign, so people couldn't say he runs the show behind the scene, Carney wasn't associated with Justin and this eliminated a lot of problem

While I don’t doubt that much of Trudeau’s negative persona was media driven, so was his positive side. Also he suffered from real issues and shortcomings. The biggest problem is the “fixableness” of social media. It might be a Quixotic quest.

Justin Trudeau was the #BestPrimeMinisterEver. He withstood a veritable barrage of violence directed at him. Friendly sausage makers ramming his gate, and @conservativeparty.bsky.social supporting the hate and division message. He did what he did for the country and put us first always.

He refused and by doing so was able to dodge the background checks which included his financials so that's a page from Trump's play book on dodging his tax returns until after election day just to run out the clock. It also meant he could lie without legal repercussions. He could speculate easily

I agree Trudeau was the right person to lead Canada through the pandemic. He lead with his heart. It is what we needed. Now it is time to have Mark Carney lead with his head. Strategic leadership to grow this country and make us more than hewers of wood and drawers of water.
