Have you followed the news lately? Are we going to have an election in 2026? Are we going to see a catastrophic economic downturn that will not only affect the US but the whole world like the Great Depression? Right now, Gavin Newsome is the only voice that is countering this disaster.
If he is throwing trans people under the bus now, when they are very obviously under attack and need support from the opposition, why would he fight for you or I? Why are they expandable, and why are you so sure you won't be?
Those are words you're using to describe something that has no meaning. In what way do you think Gavon Newsome would throw trans people or any other minority under the bus? As opposed to how this administration is actually doing it as it speeds along to its way to full blown fascism.
Did you watch the video that caused the response that you quoted to start this thread? Do you not get why people are responding so strongly to Gavin carrying water for these transphobic talking points and legitimizing them as more reasonable than regular old homophobes?
This is the exact attitude that lead us to losing in 2024, but replacing Biden with Newsom. We’re 3 years out and have plenty of time to demand more from our politicians. You don’t have to surrender to bigotry at all, much less do so this early.
