I live in Canada and get my SSI by Paper Check because SSI couldn't put through Direct Deposit 5times. Sept. is my last check. I first paid into SSI when I was 12yo. All Paper Check people MUST reverify and can't as only US Driver's License or State ID is allowed. We don't live in the US. Cruel Evil

You've already paid in to social security. You literally lent the government some 20% of your lifetime salary so you could get paid back in your golden years. It's money owed to you. Why are you in favor of NOT GETTING IT?

Not that any person should need to earn the right to exist comfortably. Not in a post scarcity society. But go off. I prefer the UBI model myself gives those too disabled to work a fair shake to find how they can contribute meaningfully. Instead of forcing them into heartless capitalizm.
