The USA is the only country in the world that "gerrymanders". By gerrymandering politicians pick voters. Politicians have been rigging our voting system since 1812. 1812. Citizens United made it legal to bribe everyone, even Presidents & they are all for sale. blogs.loc.gov/loc/2024/07/...
I hate to say it but they do this crap in the UK too, re-drawing council district boundaries to gerrymander the first past the post system we have here. We had a referendum on abolishing FPTP in 2012/13, I voted, only about 30% (if that) of the electorate bothered to vote on it. So we're stuck.
