Our local butcher had ground beef for 4.89 a pound yesterday. pretrump it was 3 something. All the prices there went up .

It will soon be over $10 a pound with Trumps new Tariff/Tax on imported beef. We used to import over 30% of the beef Americans consumed. Now Canadian and Brazilian beef are rounder tariffs and USA production is way down. ICE is also raiding packing plants on the US. Thanks Trump you dictator!

I live in Western NY. Ground beef on sale is $3.99 a lb. Organic ground beef at Aldi's is about $6 a lb.

I’m glad I live in cattle country and have a large freezer. We can buy straight from the rancher, no middleman. It costs a lot all at once, but lasts for months.

You should see our grocery bill for 7! Shop at WinCo and Costco. We try to eat all meals from home and when it’s a night where no one wants to cook but we want fast food, it’s In-and-Out…single patty cheeseburger with fries is 9$…cheapest around. Or cheap pizza or scrounge around for sumthin’🤣

Seeing this happing more than usual at my local store. Nobody is purchasing beef products, and now the company has to mark it down in order to make some kind of profit or take the loss.

They don’t have any beef products in the out of date section here in Michigan . Not even beef hot dogs and them are made from what they scrape of the floor in the slaughter house.

Gas today here in Florida was $3.19 a gallon. Eggs are still $6-7 a dozen. And steak is $15 a pound on sale.

I will have to try this brand again as it has been a while. I do know that the vegan cheeses are much better these days. I like Violife Just Like Cream Cheese.

I’m not crazy about Daiya but some people love it. Violife is good but this is my favorite. I especially love the Smoky Gouda and the Chipotle Cheddar. I don’t think it’s just a west coast thing, but if you go to their website you can find where it’s sold.

1/2 I went food shopping for my dad today. The cost of a slow cooking beef roast w/ onion, potatoes, and carrots increased in price since the last time I bought it about 10 days ago from $14.97 to $21.48 at Walmart. Chocolate covered raisins 26oz went from $6.99 to $9.99 at Rural King.

Time to buy 1/2 a cow. Wanna buy the other 1/2?

...and that pack looks like it's only half actual meat. I buy bison and it is nice and red through and through, great texture, and great flavor. Around $9.50/lb delivered in dry ice on my porch, and that is probably cheaper per/lb since it cuts out paying for fat fillers.

I bought a bunch and froze it back in April at $1.99. TG. And it was good. This stuff now is grayish. Forget steaks. No marbling. And I rarely eat pork. Maybe once a year. No.
