Labor Day is not a Republican holiday. They hate labor unions. It cuts into businesses' profits. The businesses that bought and paid for the Republicans.

I’ve said this a million times “why do working people vote Republican.” It’s against a party who can actually do something to make their lives better. Why do farmers vote Republican? Their markets are gone now because of Trump. Is he making your life better? Is inflation better, groceries cheaper?

I paid union dues for 40+ years to keep decent working conditions and a safe environment. I never had to work for minimum wage, had great insurance and good work rules. Over the years the union lost some of its clout. Without the union it would have been significantly worse. Worth every penny.

Another huge Labor Day parade in Detroit this morning. Over 10,000 union members from numerous locals marched. About 250 marched with Indivisible and about 100 pro- Palestinian marchers followed them. Enthusiasm was through the roof.
