Daunting. I felt unanchored and still do. Culture has not caught up with Technology. For instance, I recognize Bluesky makes me feel Anchored the way Fox News does for MAGA? But what about EVERYTHING else? ADLs, Holidays, Gardens, walks through the Park, first experiences in school, Recipes? 😢

38 and 39. There is so much more of course. Like i.e., Dad wanted Blue collar, I am Academic. They chose City Jobs they literally hate just like Dad did. Pension $$ was the catalyst. One graduated Summa Cum Laude and became a Sanitation Worker. They never read. Podcasts do all the input.

I grew up in a blue-collar union household.The whole (white) male-dominated blue-collar union universe seems to go for that MAGA philosophy. It's rather disheartening.

Unions and racism/mysogeny go hand in hand. I think Unions and Parents dropped the ball in the 70s and 80s. We have to stop overlooking cultural changes already DONE, and Leadership within the Unions must reflect those changes first and foremost.

Unions all around. I don't know where that fits in for me. My Dad was a FF as well. So unions have always played a gigantic part in my life. I have a long thought about unions and the role they play particularly with men because I am a woman, daughter, mother, and wife directly affected.

You would hope so, but that whole 35 to 45 age agree to continuously complain about their circumstances like it was a new Sport! Yet, their childhood was as good as previous generations. Student debt was a very bad thing, but us Mom's knew an education was vital. So now it's Mom's fault? 🤷♀️

Brenda, I talk about how we, were the 1st children, 2nd and 3rd grade, now 68, who were or received integration, how natural it was for us, and how our parents "dropped the ball," never really participating. Tjey stranded us by not inviting their parents for coffee or Birthday parties, sleep overs.
