I’m not sure what your reply even means. You said, “Glad I live in NYC. Woke don't roll like that. Take your stupid red states and let the smart people live their lives.” Millions of us living in red states can’t just up & move to a blue state. Smart people live everywhere, not just in blue states.

If I lived in, i.e. Texas, my bags would have been packed a yr ago. I am in Florida right now, taking care of my 88 & 89 yo InLaws bc Fla can't help much. In NYC, I would have far more services to choose from. I just retired, so I have the time and love to help, but they would die in Florida alone.

Yeah, I hear you. Unfortunately, my husband and I are still working and are more limited in options right now than we would be if we were retired. I’d imagine others in states like ours have it far worse than we do, too. It’s just crappy all around.

Well, IL would be closest for us and it’s where we were born and raised, so definitely a possibility in a few years when my husband is retirement-eligible, if we all make it that long! At least I can work remotely since I’m in IT (I’ve been doing so for years now).
