I have already seen food inflation, especially on fresh foods. Luckily we have a CSA and chickens, but I think this is going to be a very tough summer for a lot of families.

summer will be fine, theres still stock. wait til autumn/ winter :/ I hope china jacks tarifs up on metal/paper/plastic. That would then have a knock on effect for anything in box/bottles/tins/lables
I don't know, families already stretched, decreased SNAP and a full summer of having to cover all the food needs of their families and it will be tough. Our grocery bill was about 15% higher than normal last week. Just two old ladies to feed here - not young growing bodies.
Its crap that the bottom is going to feel it most but try to buy anything you can now on promo because winter is going to be long and everytime that jackass opens his mouth stuff will go up.. I think it might time to start looking at recession recipes sadly :(
Luckily I live in an area with strong barter traditions. On the other hand, we are last in the commercial food truck stop. Living in interesting times is an understatement. The one thing I know for sure, America as we thought we knew her is dead. What rises from the ashes is on us.
