Still quite high in sugar though, no? I'm trying to find a low cal alternative, maybe is doesn't exist (for me). There are loads of things I can't eat, its really frustrating.

I know very little about making ice cream, but maybe just try halving the sugar suggested in the recipe? A good quality cream has such a lovely natural sweetness
I'm actually making frozen yoghurt mainly (trying to make it low fat too, but also high protein - I know I'm reaching for the stars here..). I'm trying different things till something sticks. I've got agave which seems to be ok so far..
though I just found this and actually maple syrup doesn't look too bad!
I love the taste of agave. Great on plain whole fat greek yoghurt 😋
And perhaps use an unrefined cane sugar for added depth?
