that's just the spec for the tools it provides. eats 41K every time you start claude code. it's compacted a little so it's not _exactly_ that but the net is more than every other MCP I have combined
wow is it all or nothing? Like, if all you want it for is say, to review issues, can you just bring in the issues stuff? or do you always bring in the whole thing?
yeah its just a single response when the host asks “what tools do you have?”. They could let you configure it from the command line when the MCP starts but I don’t think they do
it shouldn't have to answer, "these are the 75 things I can do," if it could just say "here's the 1 thing I'm configured to do."
but since it's GH, i guess I'm not surprised
I don’t think many/any people are setting up MCPs that way yet, though context limits really probably do require it
