Nothing gives me as much peaceful pleasure as reading a good book when it rains
It is very much one of the 1,001 quiet pleasures of this world. A good story, well told, a cup of tea with curls of steam, the raindrops caressing the window like a painter trying to capture the world moment by moment. Enjoy your rainy day book!
And then a nap :)
I can totally relate.
same! I am literally planning to reread The Timeless Fate Series when it rains, to get all the vibes #TimekeepersUnite
Indoors. Reading in the rain outdoors rarely ends well for the book. Mind you, it does lead to the need to buy a new book, which is no bad thing!
Was about to say. Reading on a bench outside is absolutely amazing as long as it isn’t windy, raining or dog crap everywhere!
Yes! A good rain, a good read.🤓
What are you reading?
Agreed!
With tea! (Snow calls for scotch.)
As long as my cats are next to me and I have some yummy tea!
truly.
Conversely, nothing hurts my heart quite like a rainy day when I do not have the option to just cancel everything and read a good book instead.
Books do that now???
Add a well-made cup of coffee to that and a comfy chair and I'm sold.
Along with a cup of tea. 😍
A good book is one of the REAL luxuries of life 📕🥰
Me too. Also I love splashing water on my face outside while it rains books down upon me.
With a nice cup of hot tea
Add a crackling wood fire and a cat in your lap and you've basically invented heaven
For sure. What are you reading now? Just finished West With Giraffes
Right
A comfy chair, gentle rain, and watching tv through closed eyes...
I've recently discovered rain videos that go on for hours on YouTube. I have YouTube on my TV, and I set the volume fairly low. The rain sounds in the background are so relaxing. With those videos, you could read while it rains anytime you want. (Well, sort of.)
Or, sometimes, a not-so-good one.
maybe a little smooth jazz or white noise to add to it all
I'm with you. As I have said countless times, when you have a good book, you're never alone.
Unfortunately if you lived where I lived, you’d only read around 2 months a year. I’ve learned to love reading on my patio on a beautiful sunny day instead.
