Back in 2000, I had a work trip that took me to Edinburgh and Belfast. I hit both the Scotch history museum and Bushmills Distillery.....lots of tastings at both places.😁 I'm not worried about an "e" or lack thereof, as long as it's tasty. Slainte!

Lucky you. My father in law was gifted a square meter of Scotland for Christmas some years ago, so he has a tiny slice of ownership in one of the distilleries. I'll have to ask which one.
