Update: Since I’m under 65 insurance denied the Covid shot in the pharmacy this year thanks to that idiot RFK Jr. I went to a Minute Clinic to get my COVID shot which had to cost insurance more than if they let me continue to get it in the pharmacy. 🤦‍♀️ 💉💪🏻

I tried to get the Covid vax at a pharmacy yesterday and my insurance United Healthcare (the worst) denied it.

They are penny wise and pound foolish. How much does an ICU hospitalization cost vs the cost of a vaccine? Dumb.

Was told that today by CVS. I got a prescription but still not covered by UHC. And without it being covered it cost $250.

I’m < 65 with conditions. United Healthcare covered my Covid shot at a MinuteClinic. That was dumb of them because MinuteClinic billed them a lot more for the jab than the pharmacy.

Thanks for the info. I’m in Texas. I will try again just in case they are just slow to get the new vax NDC number in their system. If it keeps getting denied, then I’ll pay out of pocket too. It’s worth it to me. I’ve known people who were very sick with it and one friend with long covid.

I live in IL and scheduled mine for this coming Saturday at Walgreens in our little town of 5,500. It was all done on-line. Did ask me health questions. But there were quite a few "conditions" that would qualify. Good luck!
