In the future, people will be looking up these articles, the same way we use the Way Back Machine to see how complicit the New York Times was (again) during Trump. Kinda wild.

May have been published in 1930 but change some words and it could be now.
Joseph Shaplen would be proud that the paper carries on his tradition
I had to look National Bolshevism up. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nationa.... In 1930 the Times didn't know either so put Hitler in that camp. He wasn't but he was anti communist. Close enough. Which is why the NY Times as always been fascist curious and
NYT confused socialism - as in National Socialism, Ger. Nationalsozialismus - with Bolshevism and communism. American conservatives refer to people who adhere to liberal socialist beliefs as "communists," which they obviously aren't. The difference is that socialists oppose tolitarism and tyranny.
Wait, Hitler was a Nazbol? Or did they think socialist and Bolshevik were synonymous?
Hitler used a ton of leftist talking points to come to power (cynically and dishonesty) and was greatly helped by a lot of desperately credulous lefties that excused a great deal because they saw things getting done and liked "winning", before getting summarily purged in the night of the long knives
At least they’re consistent 😬
So they’ve got a template for their coverage already.
