When choosing to help your beloved pet to transition, have you opted to have a vet come to your home? I’m trying to make this difficult decision and I’d like some advice about whether you’d choose at home vs vet. Thank you.

Your beautiful Aussie?
Sadly, yes
How sad. She’s a beauty. My previous Aussie was kept home. Our vet came to us.
I’m really sorry.
Oh I’m so sorry 😢
Home has been best for my pets.
I meant to say this earlier, but the most vet-frightened pet I ever had was a cat named Bug. When it was time, I asked if they could come out. I was glad that she didn’t have to die in that place she hated so much. I buried her in the yard; not sure how it would work if you’re doing something else.
We’ve done it both ways before. Either one is difficult as you can imagine. It all depended on the condition of our pet and the bedside manner of the vet. The setting was a factor as well. It was easier at home in a more rural or suburban setting
I’m so sorry 💔
We had a vet come to our home for one of our pups. I absolutely recommend it. If you have the choice, allow them to pass at home surrounded by family.
Yes — this is what I did with Luke. I felt like I let him leave this world peacefully in the home he loved with us around him letting him know how so very much we loved him.
So sorry you’re going through this but to be honest there’s no good option. I took one pet to the vet and one we put down at home, both hard, but I’d choose home.
🙏🙏🙏
So sorry you are facing this. I've chosen at home whenever it has been an option because it seems less stressful for my pets. It's obviously still awful, but at least they're home.
