Slowly convince your friends. Don't start with the actual terms, induce them to think without them noticing what you are hinting at. They will start defensive, but give it time. In 3 years, they will be advocating in the side of empathy by themselves, defending the actual people, with actual terms.

Good modeling and calling out bad behaviors is a good, but you can't reason with any of these statistics. You can't talk your bro out of any of these statistics. This is society. Females keep breeding with, bearing, and raising these males. Select differently.

It works and I only noticed when I did it. The most influential in the mind of confused young men are their friends, especially their male friends. It changes with time. Doesn't work with everyone, not everyone is actually empathetic. But these actions change the world, even if only one person's.
