The question is absurd. The average Russian don't want to die in hunger and don't want to see their loved ones taken away by the state police. So they want whatever they allowed to want.

BTW this is one of my biggest concern right now. In the States there are a large number of people who are struggling already. And their number is rising day by day. Trump will crash the economy to push these people into the state where they don't think about resistance but survival.
1/3 of them are in his cult. They’ll rather see their kids die than go against him. 1/3 of them didn’t bother showing up to vote

My suspicion is no really, maybe somewhat. Some cultures love authoritarian leaders. I come from a culture like that so I see parallels. Even if their authoritarian leader isn’t popular per se, they love that iron fist thing
