The EU should use this as evidence to slap sanctions on China.

Very unlikely this will happen. Too dependent on trade with them, not to mention the rare earths leverage hammer China is carrying around

Yes rare earths are a problem But if we get out of the 'stop-combustion-engines' self inflicted nightmare, trade is a double edge knife China needs their export to the EU now more than ever, given the trade war with the USA and their stalling inner market Export is vital to China, now more than ever

Trade dependency goes both ways. Sanctions on China are an illusion. And i don't know how you feel about climate change, but personally I can't wait until combustion engines are a thing of the past.

Combustion engines _are_ our self inflicted nightmare, and should be the top priority for everyone.

You think depending on Russian and Arab oil is preferable?

And yet China backs Russia invading their biggest customers the EU and thinks the EU will thank them for it. They are as stupid as the Russians and as evil. Xi is Hirohito to Putin's Hitler
