5️⃣ Science must be led by evidence, not political agendas. And yet, this shift bypasses expert consensus and rewrites the playbook.
6️⃣ #AcademicFreedom isn’t just a buzzword—it’s the foundation of good science. And it's a topic where I find (some) common ground with my @harvard.edu colleagues like Steven Pinker and Tyler VanderWeele at @causalab.bsky.social (with whom I share an office wall)
7️⃣ We’re not just talking research. We’re talking real-world consequences: ✅People delaying or avoiding healthcare ✅Clinics closing ✅LGBTQ youth shut out by their families
📣 So, what now? It’s time to ask: Are we prioritizing politics over people? How do we rebuild a research system that serves everyone? Let’s talk. Let’s act. Let’s not let this fade. 🌈🧬
