if the whole lineage of modern far-leftism is traced to Marx, and Marx extends Hegel, and Hegel's most popular Thing is "thesis/antithesis/synthesis" (by modern interpretations) isn't pursuing ideological purity _un-Marxist_, as it's resisting the process of synthesis?

like I'm not talking about fighting reaction, I'm talking about refusing to engage with it at all, the idea that it must be exiled or destroyed, not subsumed

"destroyed" as in, smashed to atoms; not disrupted such that its components lose coherence but can be reabsorbed into a healthier system
