Thank you my dear friend, for caring, for being there, for your support, it means a lot.

I hope you will text me and update me about Rikki. I’m sure it is the last thing you feel like doing but I’m here if you need to talk.
Just got home, I had him do xrays to make sure there was nothing to be done, he had a mass in his lung, he couldn't breath. We had to let him go. I wish he had done a proper exam a few weeks ago but he didn't. I am going to be off for a while. Thank you for caring, it means a lot. My old 💔is broken.
I will make a donation in memory of Rikki to the blackfootedferret.org.
Aw that is just so kind it made me cry, thank you. I know every cent they get goes to the survival of the species. They are still very endangered. They are vaccinating against the plague which is carried by the fleas on the prairie dogs that are their natural food.
It was interesting for me to read their website. I posted in memory of Rikki when I made the donation.
That is so kind of you, I cant thank you enough for your friendship and your support. Happy Maddie is good to go, I hope it all goes well and she can be back to herself soon. Last night was the first night since 2005 without a ferret in the house, it feels very empty. Have a great day.
I will sadly have to pack up 20 years of ferret stuff, I have a huge cage to rehome along with all the bedding, toys, food and accessories. Not sure what to do with it all.
Facebook here has pages where you can donate such things free to those who needs them. I wonder if there are any in your area.
I was looking last night and didnt find anything so far. Was looking for a ferret shelter but since my friend in Neenah died during covid shut hers down I cant find another. I will keep looking, someone will need this stuff I just have to find them.
There’s a “Buy Nothing: Milwaukee” in Facebook. There may be one closer to you. I gave away lots of stuff on the local one. Clothes, dishes, Christmas things. I googled Buy Nothing Wisconsin. I’ve seen pet things too, like gates, harnesses.
I received this post. Some day when these two dogs are gone we will have an empty house too. We’re getting too old to be fair to them.
