Trump and his inner circle know that anyone not on the Thiel friends list will not survive in the Vance administration, and a number of their scams are going to get burned.

(I'm not saying it'll be any more honest, I'm just saying that anything not benefiting Vance or Thiel is going to meet the same fate as anything not benefiting Trump now.)
