What happens to the people whom ICE had already kidnapped? Does this give them any relief?
I so appreciate having a complete document attached for those who do not have easy access. The ability to do a thorough review of the pertinent laws, the language considered, and the basis for the decision by the judge is so helpful when you know it will be appealed by the Chief Incompetent.
It’s like watching a tennis match, but without the pleasure.
Does this mean NO ONE arrested anywhere besides the immediate vicinity of the border is subject to ER? Or what, exactly?
Not sure, but remember the border includes all the coastline. So it already contains LA, SF, SEA, CHI, BOS, NY, MIA
Border also includes within 100 miles of international airports.
I've never heard this claimed anywhere else. Do you a source for it?
I don't think that is correct in this context. Maybe confused with border patrol authority to search. The previous rule re expedited removal applied to unauthorized foreigners encountered within 100 miles of a land border www.federalregister.gov/documents/20...
The other policy: www.aclu.org/sites/defaul...
Thanks, Josh!
I stand corrected. Thanks for letting me know!
Let the left lunatic judge outrage begin
The media obsession with identifying which president appointed a judge is really shameful and needs to stop. The 6 fascists on the supreme court have a clear agenda unrelated to the actual law or the concept of justice. That is NOT true of most judges, especially district court judges. Just stop it.
👏
The governments argument that having to stop breaking the law is inconvenient is an interesting argument. May be difficult for a criminal defendant to shoehorn it into a case but wouldn't shock me to see a state use it in a civil case against the admin.
Hi ho hi ho It’s off to the DC circuit we go
