My sister wants to move to Paducah, KY and when I mentioned the recent flood they had there, she said “that was a 100 year flood”. Umm… I’m guessing they’ll have another one before the decade is out.

Paducah has a flood zone map but also just look at Google maps even and choose a place with high elevation. Most of us never get flooding. It's toward the flood wall and south side that seems to have repeated problems.

There are 275 high hazard dams in Kentucky, failure could cause loss of life and property damage.. Many of Kentucky high- hazard dams lack adequate Emergency Action Plans.
