Do you want to know what isn't PLAYER FRIENDLY, EA? The ridiculous, total price of all your packs, expansions and DLCs for The Sims 4. If you want more people to play The Sims 4, maybe start making it MORE AFFORDABLE.

The Sims 4 is cheaper since launch, without accounting for sales, than a single streaming subscription or eating out once a month its pretty damn affordable, unless you're buying every piece of content at once all in one go 11 years in. which people are not doing lol
....EA?.... said that?.... bro they just tryin to gain attention after everything with the stop killing games but hey at least they arent gonna do something that dumb... for the fuckin sims-
Can they give us sim city 2 instead or at least make it so Sim City works on single player.
“What I wouldn’t want to have happen is you to have to start from day zero and start from scratch and give up all of the things that you have created, give up all of the content that you’ve purchased over the years" variety.com/2025/gaming/...
Maybe I’m understanding wrong but if they were to release sims 5, the paid content from 4 will disappear? Even if you wanted to play 4? Why would they “give it up?” I’m assuming they’re meaning content won’t transfer over to 5 but also with the way gaming is, hopefully they don’t pull content
Only content I think might be at risk of pulling is the licensed stuff (Such as Star Wars), which is always a problem.
Bullshit. Unless the publisher decides to kill the game, you wouldn't lose anything. Everything on Sims 4 can remain on Sims 4. You don't hear Sims 2 players going "but my IKEA Home Stuff" migrating to Sims 3. Even then, that's what *mods* are for.
They’ve asked them to literally do exactly that 3 other times, so I guess… good job EA?
Remember when Sims 4 launched they knew it was worse than Sims 3 and were saying, if you don't buy this, there will never be a Sims 5. Well we bought it and here still won't be a Sims 5. We've been had.
They’re right. I’m glad to keep expanding the little world I’ve invested so much in.
I'd like a Sims 5 to actually get into it but every time I see the prices of Sims 4 no matter if it's free to play or not discourages me to try it.
When it comes to EA FC they have no such qualms
EA trying to be a team player is hilarious cause they actively work against every single person that gives them money
Good. More people will turn to inZoi and Paralives then.
But the sims 4 content is over thousands upon thousands of dollars spanning many years, its well over 3k. Why wouldn't the next game be content friendly??
translation: it’s cheaper for us to continue to churn out half baked packs that we know people will buy than it is for us to use resources to make a new game
Not player friendly? How much does it cost to buy all the dlc again? Oh, right. Just over $1,100.
No EA, we WANT you to start over. Sims 4 is an old game, on old engine, and the game is broken. START OVER but give us full game, stop charging for every game pack to add weather or pets or children!! No more packs every single month. Develop your games will love and care…
Ugh I’m so sick of how half assed and cash grabby Sims 4 is. It’s soulless compared to the previous games and full of so many bugs that haven’t been addressed. Made me stop playing so I’m happy to just play the OG Sims1 or 2. I wonder how Will Wright feels about the current Sims?
I don't understand this dumb logic and it's not a good excuse lol just say you don't have fkn plans
