What was even so bad about this movie? It was a 7/10 for me but so many other worse movies get way more popular My friends and I went to the cinema to watch it and it was literally completely empty, I don't get the hate

I was honestly worried when Gunn said that The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker S1 and Blue Beetle were still canon despite being part of the last regime. I'm glad though that some things are being kept. Blue Beetle and The Suicide Squad are largely standalone so it makes sense.

I do think it’s cute that James Gunn has no obligation to keep this movie in the conversation or his new universe, but he genuinely really liked the lead performance and wants to see more of this character.

I honestly did have the most fun watching the Blue Beetle movie because it was the most standalone DCEU movie and letting it tell its own story. Hopefully Blue Beetle can be brought back for more movies
