Dear God. I am Aussie so not really across this detail. How the HELL is that still in your constitution?

Ah, shit it was the 13th amendment that both freed slaves and allowed the enslaving of criminals
However bad you think it is, it is worse.
I am so sorry. It's horrible to watch. I just can't imagine what hell it must be to live there right now
Its odd. Someone smarter than me said that living in a totalitarian state is very normal, until it’s not. I’m feeing that personally. One thing I have seen is that the weather is no longer reported accurately. It is just in the last month I’ve regularly seen this from the national weather service
And i know they cut loads of funding for all the related weather services, but nothing on that screen. Ffs
Jeez as if things are not bad enough hey? Think i might stop whinging about how cold our winter has been this year!
If this is all over the place, and I think it is, the weather could start killing people in droves this winter
Because 'due process.' It's a concept in all legal codes so don't act shocked.
I believe the ⅗ Compromise is still in the Constitution as well. Look that one up, prepare for the troller coaster of emotion.
The 14th amendment superceded that, but there are people in the admin who want to ignore the 14th entirely, so we shall see just how much SCOTUS will ignore
Oh I know it's no longer "letter of the law" but it's there for any and all to see. I bet it'd be very interesting for an Aussie to peruse the Constitution. It stands for so much but it says a lot too.
Hmmm not a bad idea. So close to submitting bloody thesis then I might have some space in my brain!
I have a degree in history. Constitutional history, Presidential history, and the history of law in America is fascinating stuff.
