My partner is an Occupational Therapist who works with disabled children. She says there are lots of laws that protect disabled children but they are often ignored by schools, hospitals, local government etc, and there is no enforcement or penalties. So the laws are sort of toothless.
I can speak from personal experience & say the laws are good & can be enforced but you have to make fighting them a full time job which is a horrible thing to make people do. ❤️
She says something similar. If you have the money to show up at school meetings with a lawyer, you get what you’re entitled to.
